The U.S. embassy in Burkina Faso issued an Emergency information for American citizens on their website not to travel to Burkina Faso. It’s a travel advisory level 4, which means there is terrorism, crime and kidnapping they say.
Globalvoice noticed that though is the fact that this travel advisory was posted on their website the following day after our Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement on April 15th, condemning and rejecting the allegations of General Michael Langley, who accused Captain Traore of using our gold reserves to protect the junta regime, he said.
"Is this a coincidence? I doubt that. Why ? Because, “In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way,” President Franklin D. Roosevelt said. "
Another thing, Globalvoice saw on the U.S. embassy in BF X page this and I quote,
“In late March, the Washington, DC National Guard hosted experts from the Burkina Faso Armed Forces for an exchange on peace and security. Strong cooperation strengthens lasting ties and contributes to a more stable world. Strengthening our ties strengthens peace.”
Personally, I thought that was something of the past because, I clearly recall it was a program under the corrupt and puppet President Roch Marc Christian cover this at all. It’s not on their websites. We don’t know why Captain Ibrahim Traore decided to continue with this. But, we hope he knows what he is doing.
I think I saw someone say that’s perhaps the reason why Burkina Faso was left without any tariffs imposed on us lol. That’s not it. What does Burkina manufacture and export to the U.S. that will draw the attention of President Trump? Almost nothing.
Well, apart from our gold that might interest the U.S., our exports to the U.S. in 2023 was about $30.6 million worth of goods. And our main products were raw cotton and tropical fruits like mangoes and cashews.

April 15th, your FM rejected the allegations. April 16th, the U.S. embassy issued travel advisory to all its citizens not to travel to your country for any reason due to terrorism, crime and kidnapping.
