Manchester City settled for a point after a 3-3 draw with Everton, widening the gap between them and league leaders Arsenal.

Monday’s Premier League clash at Hill Dickinson Stadium produced a six-goal thriller, with City forced to share points with the hosts.

City took the lead in the first half through a brilliant effort from Jeremy Doku, assisted by Rayan Cherki.

After a commanding opening half from the visitors, Everton levelled in the 68th minute following a defensive error involving Marc Guéhi, which led to the equaliser.

Minutes later, the home side went ahead 2-1 after a delivery from James Garner found Jake O’Brien to head it home.

Everton extended their lead to 3-1 in the 81st minute after dispossessing Mateo Kova?i? in midfield. The hosts quickly moved the ball forward, allowing Barry to grab his second goal of the match and put the game firmly in Everton’s control.

City responded after the restart, pulling one back through Erling Haaland, who was set up with a through ball from Kova?i?.

In injury time, City completed the comeback as Jeremy Doku grabbed his second goal of the night to make it 3-3. 

The late strike marked the third time Everton have conceded in stoppage time this season.

The result dents Manchester City’s title charge and leaves Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal firmly on course, now five points clear at the top.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Chelsea suffered a 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest, with Taiwo Awoniyi scoring a brace to boost Forest’s survival hopes. 

The result marks Chelsea’s sixth straight league loss, while Forest remain unbeaten in their last 10 matches and sit six points clear of the relegation zone.
