The Chief of Staff to Presidnet Bola Tinubu. Femi Gbajabiamila, has denied reports claiming N10 billion was allocated in the 2024 budget for the renovation of his official residence. Reports were rife online earlier today with claims that in the 2024 budget, Gbajabiamila had proposed N104 million for the purchase of computers and printers for ‘local travel and transport for international training. It was also reported that a further breakdown of the proposed budgetary allocations showed that the reconstruction and repair of the Chief of Staff's official residence is to gulp N10 billion.

However, in a statement released this afternoon, December 6, Gbajabiamila mentioned that the sums quoted are for renovation of the Presidential Quarters in Dodan Barracks and the VP’s lodge in Lagos.
