US. President Donald Trump has mocked French President, Emmanuel Macron, saying he is treated “extremely badly” by his wife Brigitte Macron.

Mr Trump derided Mr Macron during his speech at an Easter Lunch event held in the White House on Wednesday.

“I called up France, Macron, whose wife treats him extremely badly, and he’s still recovering from the right to the jaw,” Mr Trump said.

Mr Trump was referring to a viral 2025 video of Mrs Macron shoving her husband in the face.

However, Mr Macron has replied the American President, saying his reference to the 2025 video was “not elegant, nor up to standard.”
