U.S. lawmaker Riley Moore has presented a report on the persecution of Christians in Nigeria to President Donald Trump at the White House.

Mr Moore, who was among a U.S. fact-finding delegation to Nigeria, announced that he submitted the report on Christian genocide in Nigeria on Monday in a post on X.

“Just presented our report on the persecution of Christians in Nigeria to the White House,” Mr Moore wrote, posting a photo of himself holding a manila envelope. “More to come.”

This comes months after Mr Moore visited Nigeria alongside other members of the U.S. delegation on a fact-finding mission.

Amid a campaign on alleged Christian genocide in Nigeria, which President Bola Tinubu’s government has continue to deny, Mr Trump redesignated Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern last year.

Mr Trump also ordered airstrikes against terrorists in Sokoto on Christmas Day.
